I bought a UF-20 and am now running GFO for that exact reason, I'm not sure if there are phosphates.

I'm looking to find a cheaper Stage 3 RO/DI. Around 100-150. I would get it from BRS but it's 75 dollars to get it to Canada.

But then I'm looking at over 200 for a stage 4. If I get the Stage 5 for 199, it'll be like 275.

I also don't even know what I need to run a RO/DI.

there have been numerous studies done showing the importance of these elements. whether he does water changes often he probably will want to use additives.

Are there any study that our tanks are low on these trace elements? If so, which one? There is no question these trace elements might be important. The question is whether tanks requires extra addictive. So far for the study I have seen from Dr. Ron, the question seems to be no (at least not the ones you mentioned).
