so ive seen some small white circles in the day, (not bite marks) get bigger and spread into STN, is there a pet that would cause a small necrotic circle on the SPS tissue? worm? idk ill see if i can post a pic here, and again, its not bite marks from AEFW

Do you have any asternia starfish in your tank?

a few...

and an edit to the description, its generally 1 circular necrotic area per colony, about a cm in diameter.

Is it underneath? On the stalk of the colonies?

Is the lokani ok???

lokani is fine mark lol...

it can start anywhere it seems. generally the trunk....but not the edge like an STN would start. The STN starts it seems after awhile from the circle

sand bed yes....

alk currently like 8.5 dkh.....fluctuation between 8-9.5 range
Ca currently 430 dkh...not much fluctuation

Whens the last time you did a big water change? Like 30 gallons or so? Do you clean your sand bed?

i do 30 gallons every other week now.....i dont do much bed cleaning....ill stir it up though a little during teh change though

Can you take a piece out and dip to check for infestation? Make sure to blast with a baster.

I'm with Pascal, dip a more severely infected piece and see if something shakes out.
