I love my 1st cube and Im thinking of setting up another. Currently have a 250w MH over the tank and was thinking of doing a similar setup on the new however someone is selling an ATI 4x24" powermod for cheap money and was thinking of grabin' it.

Do you think 4 bulbs would be enough to have sps grow and be colorful in a 2ft cube?

I'm assuming if it's a 2ft cube it's 24x24x24? I was wondering the same for a BC29 I just got. I'm debating if a 4x24w Tek light is enough or switch to MH with led actinic lighting.

You might be slightly underlit with four bulbs over a 24" deep tank. I would personally want at least six w/ individual reflectors if I were keeping SPS anywhere but the very top of the tank IMO.

Well, I guess the amount of bulbs will depend on where you place the corals. You could get away with an ATI 4 bulb if the corals were placed correctly. If you can, look into the 6 bulb variety as this will give you plenty of light and bulb choices. :D

I agree with Sunny on the 6 bulbs choice for color and choice of corals. I had a 4x24w on a 29g(30x12) and it really limited the choice of bulbs for color.
