Full confession; I've been a bad husband... I've got lots of excuses that all sound great, but the bottom line is I left my reef on auto pilot for about a month and a half, with no water changes. Some of my corals (namely my monti's) started to look unhappy, and it drove me to act. It's a 1 yr old 120g sps dominant, with 26g in sump and fuge. I mixed up 55g fresh salt water about 2 weeks ago, and changed about 25g. Last week I changed another 15g. I use kalk in my ATO to supplement chemistry, and everything is usually balanced when I keep up with weekly water changes. The other day I finally tested my chem and my Ca was a little low, got that back in check, and my alk was at 9.0 dKH and I usually keep it at 12.2 dKH. Used the calculator on BRS, but screwed something up. Day one I tried to raise the dKH to 10.4; it landed at 9.6. I re calc'd it all and shot for 11.0 dKH, just tested 24hrs later and its at 16 dKH, so... I'm going to change about 15g tonight, and then start a new batch of salt water. My ATO conveniently needs a refill, so I'll leave the Kalk out and monitor and suppliment Ca on it's own. My question is: should I be worried?
