There always seems to be something to buy, new technology, new filter and light methods, vodka dosing, yada yada. I am so glad I got started in this hobby 20 years ago, and not today. Imagine being a new to this hobby and being overwhelmed by all the choices to maintain a tank. I've kept and will continue to run halides, a dsb, skimmer, and routine water changes. Hats off to all those that use all these new methods, it just seems overkill and labor intensive to keep up with all of it.
