SPS turning dull and losing color

So I have had my tank going for about a year and a half now. Finally started adding SPS slowly.

I bought a few SPS from a guy locally, and a couple from the fish store

The funeral doing okay but the rest not so much

As of now I'm dozing off 25 milliliters of alkalinity, and 0 calcium.

My levels are
Alk: 11dkh
Calcium: 420

I run a HOB skimmer on a 46 bow front, and have an AI Vega.

Why are all my sps losing color and dying.?
I'll attach pictures in a little bit

Thanks,
John

When you say "losing color" do you mean turning brown or turning white?

Make sure you pick up a phosphate test kit for sps. It will help you check phosphate in tank. If you have any algae in the tank, then phosphate and nitrate could be in the phosphate and if you try and kill the algae, you will release some or a lot of the nutrients into your tank. Remove any algae slowly if you have some.

Your dKH seems a tad high but it would be ok if the level was consistant. The number 2 causes IMO from SPS losing color are nutrients out of wack and alkalinity swings or out of wack.

If you can provide a picture and someone will be able to diagnose the problem a lot easier.

Hope this helps,
Jared
