Squammy sold as Maxima?

I just got this clam today, it was sold as a Maxima but I'm sure it's a squammy. What do you think?

Squamosa. Maximas dont open nearly as much as that. Did you make out on the price?

It was a fair price, it's going to be a very nice clam, and I'm just real happy to have another clam besides the Gigas I have in my other tank. There's something in that tank that likes clams, my Gigas is the lone survivor out of 8. In my opinion because it doesn't have a foot so his shell closes all the way.

i would say Squamosa also, but you really need to look at the shell.

Squammy is my vote too

The way the mantle folds and the color around the mantle, I'm positive it's a Squammy. The shells are similar but you can see the difference in the growth lines.
It's all good, would have been my first mistake in 07 and it's only March, lol.
