I have a 5" squamosa that keeps turning on it's side.

I noticed some aiptasia growing on it's shell so I threw in a peppermint shrimp. Could the peppermint be bothering my clam?

What else causes a clam to do this?

Thanks!

I could also be becuase he is getting to much light. Mine does the same thing. If I put him on the rocks imediatally he flip himself on over and off the rock and on the sand. Also even when he is on the sand he turns himself over and opens as wide as he can.

What kind of lighting do you have and how far away is it from it?

Ya that is probably why it is doing it. As it gets bigger then it will start turning towards that light more and more. You should just leave it be. But if it starts to look bad then try and turn it upwards and check all water quality.
