Murph

I've been running mine for 6 months, no issues. I did buy a backup, just in case, but I haven't even cleaned mine once.

It will reduce your return flow alot, I favor 3 to 5 x tank volume thru the sump and add additional flow with either Koralias or Tunzes for that sporadic flow

I am getting one. I have an 1100GPH panworld on a 120 g system. That should cycle enough I think. My only concern is the back pressure it may place on my return pump. Any thoughts?

when someone says they pre filter their sqwd how are they doing this? I don't think I can put a filter on my pump intake (in the sump) without resticting the flow and straining the pump. Any thoughts?

Its a cheap alternate that doesnt require any more electricity than you are currently using. It will eliminate lamiter flow for the time being and allow you to save some cash for some of the other pricer items wavy seas, tunzes, vor techs etc.. blah blah blah
