SRC Event Frag Auction

I was thinking of bringing mine in a bucket with a bubbler then bagging em in the morning (i will get pictures taken by wednesday dont worry ray!)

I dont know if I'll make it now but I'm curious as well. For example, I take care not to put any frags in my tank that aren't treated so if I bring some and they are put in a community tank, that's a pretty big risk as we all know not everyone knows they might have something.

I am not following... who said anything about them going in a community tank?

This is for the Frag Auction at the end of the conefrence. People bring frags to the event and we auction them off. The frags are brought in by their owners, bagged properly and kept in coolers until ready for auction. They are asking for pictures of the corals ahead of time so we can put a photo on the screen for bidding purposes. Persons bringing corals will recieve 1/2 of what it sold for.
It is the responsibility of the person who WINS the frag to properly quarantine or dip (or whatever) to avoid such pests.

Nothing was ever said about putting them into a community tank.

I really hope that you change your mind about attending as I think you will be surprised. The auction will be great and so will the speakers and all the great raffle prizes. Check out the website to see all the cool stuff that will be raffled off if you haven't already seen.
I think getting up early for one day for an event like this is certainly worth it! Oh, did I mention, that on top of all that great stuff listed above, you even get lunch!
Hope to see you there!

That's a good idea Christie. I was wondering how I was going to bring corals for an over nighter... and keep 'em fresh for Saturdays auction. I may just do the same. :spin1:

Ok. Sorry I misunderstood. I read it a bit wrong. Yea, I'm still trying to see if I can go. Is anyone going from the clermont area?

are you looking for someone to bring them for you if you can't make it?

Okay, I'll add the following. If you get more than the 75, you can pull any/all of these so the hobbyists get theirs in:

Chromis Palys and RPE combo rock:

Burgundy and Teal Acans:

20,000 Leagues Lokani

African Blue Xenia:

I think I am going to also do the bucket bubbler and bag in the morning. Pics are under 10K or 20K so the colors may be somewhat different (the xenia is much more blue and the cyphestrea is much more red. The Lokani is fully encrusted (originally from TCN) and very vivid sapphire blue and teal)
