I hate doing this, BUT, I'm trying to find out if double the cost means double the performance and less noise. Those are my two main concerns. Like everyone else I know!

So do I save the dough and buy the SRO cone with the bubble blaster pump or shell out the dollars on the Vertex or BK mini 160.

Also what's the verdict on the Water Blaster pumps for a return setup? I'm looking for 600gph through a 3/4 return with 6' of head if that's possible.

Tank is 100g mixed reef with 30g sump.

Vertex 170, all the way. I have seen it in action & kicks a......
Buy right buy once no need to upgrade.
Coral Vue comes out with a new design every week, so I am sure next week they will have a new one, with RE they do their R&D so their design is not obsolete in a month.:lolspin::lolspin:

Honestly, I don't think your fish / coral are really going to care which one of those three you go with. All three would handle your system just with no problems at all. Look at this way..... Which one of the 3 makes you feel warm and fuzzy? Whichever one that may be, go with it, you will be the happiest and not have any regrets. :)

You will get some noticeable hum from the BB pump. The Red Dragon pump is completely silent. Having said that, the BB is not by any means "loud".
