Setting my reef tank back up ofter a 9 month total renovation and need to buy new live rock. I was planning on going to rockin reef but i see that they have now closed according to google maps... does anyone know of a store that sells good live rock? (And great livestock selections for when im done cycling)

Whats FAOIS? Just tried to google it and ted peters just popped up lmao! Rockin reef closing has really thrown me off, that was my go to place

So there is a couple of stores in St. Pete Area that have live Rock. You have Fins and Skins, Fancy Fish, Animal House and than A-tropical. There is a new store opening up on 34th and 54th not sure when they will be open.

FISH and other ICHTHY stuff. I am new to the area & went there last week. It was about a 25 minute drive for me although I live in the northern St. Petersburg area. I actually like the idea of driving to a few different stores each week & check them out in person.

I was told Sea Life Aquariums will be open by mid-November :)
Place looks really nice!

I ended up checking out fins and skins and tropical reef. Both had a great selection of livestock and stoked to go back once im ready to bwgin the stocking process. Tropical reef had some great live rock peices!

Will the new store be on 34th and 54th north?

Yea, and like Tony said the place looks great, you can see some pics on their Facebook. I sent them an email and the guy seems really nice. I told him to check out the forum/club if he wasn't already on here. I'm very excited as I have been pretty disappointed in local (St. Pete) stores. I was at FAOIS this weekend and their selection, prices and customer service can't be beat.

Close! New store is on 34th St and 53rd Ave N.
Here is their page https://www.facebook.com/SeaLifeAquariums

Tropical Reef is nice, but I wish it was so much better. Fins and Skins is alright, to me the place looks bleak but thats just my opinion..The people that work there are pretty nice though :). Sometimes Fancy Fish have nice things in stock.

Everyone suggests Fish and Other Itchy Stuff for a reason!

Live rock is set up! let the cycling commence!!!
