stagnant water?

I'm in the process of setting up a new tank and the plumbing leaked the first time I did it...

I turned the return pumps off and being busy with school, work, and vacation I left the water in the sump and it wasn't circulating.

Now that everything is fixed should I siphon out the water that was stagnant in the sump? or will it be fine to use?

There is no livestock in the DT it has just been running with LR and pumps.

I think it should be fine. When I mix up for water changes sometimes I let the water sit a few days in the bucket.

forgot to mention it was stagnant for about 2-3 weeks :lol:

I would heat it up before starting the pump back up.

i wouldnt to be safe , all benefical bacteria is probably dead

if u decide to use it test the water first
