Hi,
I was looking at getting the GHL doser but was wondering if you a 2 pump version of the stand alone doser?
I really like the unit but only need a 2 pump version for alk and calc right now. I might need more pumps down the road but just trying to keep cost down right now.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
Right now, I only see the 3 or 4 pump standalone units. No 2 pump standalone.
I will call them and see how much.

But then again, I'm debating about getting the whole Profilux system.
It's either the Profilux or the Apex right now.

I have an 8x54w fixture right now. What ballast and profilux parts would I need in order to make it dimmable and fully controllable with the Profilux system?

Thanks!

Hi
The profiLux system has most third party controller options available, you dont need to go buying any third party additional controllers or dosing pumps where all you will get is timed mode.

This is the beauty of ProfiLux its all in house so you get the maximum functionality with precise user interfaced software where no complicated programming is required, completely windows driven FREE software.

In regards to DIMMING The profiLux has everything built in already so other than a cheap interface you are good to go out of the box.

You require dimmable ballasts and a GHL interface.

There are two types of interface for 1-10V dimming. Either the PCB that also switches the power off to the ballast so you have no live ballasts when the control line is at 0volts

or there is the interface box which is nothing more than a wiring box with lead back to the profilux.

Whichever way if you want dimming control, GHL is for sure leaps ahead with options, same goes for dosing also, amongst many other items

For the stand alone 2 pumps they only just came back into stock so please call spenser at progressive reef and he will set you up.

Please let me know if I can help further

Thanks for the quick reply.
Is this the part(PLM-DALI ) I need to dim?

Do you have any suggestions on dimmable ballasts and do you know if any of your partners sell them as well?

Hi

Dali is another option yes, GHL have multiple options. You require dali ballasts for this.

The best manufacturer for both 1-10V standard dimmable and also dali is Sylvania.

Our dealer progressive reef stocks the standard dimmable ballasts, if you can not find them there i will find them for you dont worry about that.

So for an 8 tube fixture you need

4 x dimmable ballasts

If Dali you need the dali inteface card
If standard 1-10V then you need the EVG-AP PCB

It may sound complicated but it really is not, GHL have the most simplest but also the most functional of dimming options. And I am here to help all the way as and when required.

Please dont let it confuse you, it is mostly the way i explain things.

Look at it this way, dimming is

Controller-interface-dimmable ballast

its that simple.

DALi stands for Digital Addressable Lighting Interface.

To be honest if you want simple dimming this is going to fog your brain, trust me it does mine but here is a good link

http://www.dalicontrol.com/dali/whatisdali.htm

What you want is standard 1-10V dimming using readily available 1-10V dimmable ballasts.

The EVG card is the interface between the profiLux and the ballast, its a PCB.

I will go search some info for you and post here.
