Well her I am again and have a question about my stand that I'm going to but from fish tanks direct. I know oak is the best wood for a stand to be made out of ,but what about maple, pine or birch will any of these work if they are professionally made.

Sure, any wood is fine. I would build a frame out of pine and skin it in whatever.

Ok that's a relief because it's a lot cheaper to for birch or something else.

Mine that I have are made of pine. It works fine!

I have one from pine too, and it looks good.

On my new tank, I will be using nicer wood to match the cabinetry in the room, but that was mandatory from the owners of the house.
