Standpipe Or Prefilter

I am finely setting up my acrylic 75 with center overflow. It currently has two prefilter sponges end to end in the overflow. Should I keep it this way or install a standpipe. My sump will have a filter sock. Any advice would be great.

I like the stand pipe better

Since your going to have filter socks I would go with the stand pipe.
