star polyp question odd situation

I had purchased a star polyp frag a month ago that i thought had died since the polyps stayed retracted for nearly 3 weeks. now I kept it in my tank as it never lost its purple base color and felt maybe the polys are just unhappy well now they are starting to come out but just tiny tiny polyps and they're purple like the base not green like when i purchased them.

anyone know whats going on? thank you for the help in advance!

I would bet it's just stressed. I just placed a large piece in a different tank and it's doing the same (was happy before). I used the same water as my DT but it still didn't like the transfer. Different lighting and flow will stress them out. I would leave it alone. It will come back as long as it's not water chemistry issues? Good luck!
