Looking for enough in my 12g nano cube. I have seen this setup with black and would love to get some of it. I think I might just go barebottom for now. Th sand in this thing is a disaster. ITs more of a sludge now than it is sand.

I think I will remove the algae infested rocks and cook them in a rubbermaid tub. Vacumm out the tank and put rock I have been holding in my frag tank into the nano. Will this cause a cycle of any kind. A water change will also be mixed in there. The rubble and such in the nano will stay.

Will my clown be ok through this process? Nothing should die off the rock in the minutes it will be out of the water. I might buy a cutting board at traget or something tonight.

I suppose I should silicone it to the bottom of the tank of stuff might get stuck under there, any thoughts?

That will work fine. As far as siliconing it down...might not be a bad idea at all as it floats. I bought my HDPE, (which is what you're buying) through thecuttingboardcompany.com

Found out later that Regal Plastics here in St Louis has the same stuff...

I did not glue down the board in my 58, and alot of stuff got stuck in the crack...

I glued down the board in my 120.....stuff doesnt get stuck in the cracks now, but silicone doesnt stick real well to HDPE...
