What type do you use??
Can you use a color??
Is there anything that would be good to know before getting it??

I just ordered a custom piece from the cutting board factory dot com. They recommended the UV resistant "marine" grade board. You can choose any color you they have.

Before I set the tank up, I will "cure" the board by keeping it about 1 inch of the bottom of the tank and add 2 inches of salt water and 2 cups of bleach. I don't want fresh, stinky plastic in my reef. When it comes time to set the tank up, I will most likely put a bead of silicone all the way around the board and seal it into the tank. These steps may not be necessary, but I'm in no hurry to screw things up.

I used HDPE sheeting ( same as starboard ) and it looks great in my tank. I bought mine from US plastics as it is rather cheap there and it's local for me. Here's some pictures of my tanks that use it. ( my 75 is no longer set up btw )

37 w/o water in it. ( durning the set-up stage )

Cool, what color did you get, and why bleach??

Because it will be "curing" in salt water for about 7 days and I don't want anything to start growing in there.

I chose white; I thought about black, but figured that it would make the tank appear very dark. That would be cool for some contrast, but a bit too artificial for my taste.

I just pulled out my DSB this past weekend. I went with black HDPE sheeting. I love that I can crank the flow and not have sand storms anymore.

i'm very happy with my starboard bottom. i do wish i'd siliconed the edges..

and black rules ;)
you did get black?? Any pics??

I'm a little shy about posting pics of my tank (I'm not 100% happy with it yet), but here is one from about 4 hours after the sand came out.

I'm dripping some snails and a fish so that's what the blue line is hanging there.

Nice tank, the rock is sweet...is it marshall???

So is that the black star board? What is made out of??

Thanks. It's High Density Polyeurithane (HDPE). I think the rock is from Fiji.

The tank has a long way to go. I definatly want to ditch the Ushio 10k's ASAP. I think I'm going to go with Pheonix next time.

There is a plastics place that's local to me where I got it. I went with 1/2" thick.

If there is a plastics place in your city, they will probably carry it. Make sure you ask if it's marine grade.
