When I cut my starboard I cut the outside edges at an angle. This way it would'nt sit in the tanks seal at all. I also cut it like a 1/4" short on all edges just incase there were any expansion issues. I decided to silicone the starboard down and ran silicone in the 1/4" gap all the way around to prevent any detrius from getting down there. Now I'm worried because its sealed water tight under there. When I fill the tank up will there be any issues I need to worry about? What about when I put LR on top of the starboard, will the weight of it pushing down on the air pressure cause a problem? I was thinking of maybe drilling two very small holes in the starboard around the edges that are angled to let water make its way down there. What do you all think? Am I freakin out over nothing?
