I just cured some rock and found the following starfish. Is this one harmful or ok? I have a 55 gallon tank

Looks like a serpent star and should be just fine. I have tons of them.

Those critters can hide and eat stuff from the smallest of places in your rock. Your good to go, I seen no huge increase in my in tank population.

Maybe this one will re-grow its arms.

I think it's a brittle star not a serpent, but just the same a good thing to have and you probably have a few more that you've never seen.

Cool.. thanks I added him to my tank and he disappeared. I see an arm behind some rocks though

its a brittle star i have them in my 2 reef tank i like them and thay are good to have in your tank
