STARS WebSite

i like RC because i can look at work! we can't look at facebook and other such websites. if they knew how much time i wasted on this one, they would block it too!

glad to see you made it to this forum anyway, and we are all just a bunch of common guys and a few girls. most are just smart asses!

ill be on here more for sure now, and im always on facebook, hence my willingnes to give it a shot, plus just curious how many people should be out there you know. how many members in STARS by the way?

We don't have a real count of the amount of STARS members. There are two types of membership, anyone that participates in our forum is considered a member. If you would like to have voting privileges, then you must be active in the forum and attend three meetings.

I like the facebook idea, it would not be a replacement to the forum or website but another tool to bring people that interested in reef keeping in the area together. I don't see how having a link to RC or STARS website on facebook could be a bad thing. A general facebook page for local reef keepers would be a good place to start. Let us know how to get there on facebook once it is set up :)

will do ill have something set up today i think. yeah not taking anything away from here, but it couldnt hurt to add to facebook either. ill keep yall posted

k guys, this is just gonna be el paso only to start with, search El Paso Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Keepers on facebook guys.

I am trying to embrace this website project because something has presented itself right here and right now.

I think everyone will like the finished product here. so if we can all come to agreement I would like to start this right away before the opportunity vanishes.

So Jay, after embracing the website....how bout an update on the progress? The work seems to be in progress, but when is the tentative date for unveiling the new site?

Oh wow did she really ask that? I believe she really did. Now that I think of it I am kinda curious as well. Come on Jay, don't keep it under wraps forever. Let us all in on it buddy.

Experiencing a minor hold up but working through things.

We are currently in the process of moving the website from the existing server to a new web hosting company with larger capacity (godaddy.com). I think the transfer should be completed first thing next week and then redesign can begin. No estimated time right now for when everything will be complete but it will be worth it..

hey guys, i was wondering what all the new website will have? or do? compared to the old one. If its just for better looks id like to make a suggestion ???

everyone here is very open to constructive critique. some are more hard headed than others but are still open. j/k! this is everyones thing so if you want to see something let it be known.

well if your building a website from scratch it can be a pain im sure. if it just needs to look up to date and nice with added content, then why not use yahoo small business websites, they are soooo simple to do and look pretty cool. you pay a small up front fee, its like $10 a month to keep. ive done a few using them and it couldnt be simpler.

here are some of mine or ones ive done. IM NOT PROMOTING ANYTHING AT ALL !! I DONT NEED HELP SELLING ANYTHING. HAHAHAHA

www.navarrokennels.com is for my dogs
www.joinexitrealestate.com is one i did for my dad to recruit realtors
www.alderetehomes.com is one im working on now for a small builder.

let me know what you think, AND IF IM POSTING TOO MUCH or dont want to hear it let me know. the Facebook idea didnt seem to go over to well either. haha. Just trying to help or be usefull.

Well, I haven't chimed in a while. But I do like the idea that Pnavarro170 to build a facebook page. It can be incorporated into the STARS website.

Facebook can be a great entry point to those that do not like the "atmosphere" of an open forum such as RC, but love the networking that Facebook does offer. IMHO, I think that a Facebook page for STARS can be a great asset. Just my .02 cents.

well i would have to delete the one i started and start a STARS one on facebook, currently called el paso saltwater and reef aquarium keepers

Nice web sites, Pedro. I love the fact that you breed ACD's! I own two, they are full-blooded but not registered. I have owned many over the years, they are awesome dogs!
