start of a new adventure 265gal starphire

thanks invincible I'm just start on my new routine for 2 weeks. Let's give it another couple months then I can tell if it's good or not.

yeah the market in Calif. is so competitive that not only LFS, but restaurant and etc. has very good prices on everything. do you find that the stag grows fairly quickly? no match for Tiger domination today, the game was over after the 3rd round.

not as fast as others but not slow either. Yeah Cali economy got a big hit so business slow down a bit. Well I have more time to work on my reef tank

so hows the new crosshatch doing? does the female goes into hiding and coming only out for food and then go back. i know the male is a pig for sure.

they both like to hide but when you are close to the tank they will swim out and beg for food....they swim out more when the light are dim since they are deep water fishes. The reef tank light is way to bright for them.

Wussup Anthony - man this looks awesome! I am having a hard time holding back on those triggers man - they're safe even with LPS? I think my tank is just a little too small for them. :(

I haven't read the whole thing but did you end up ditching all the Vortechs? For me they just didn't cut it in a big tank.

I got rained out this morning, finally had a chance to play this month and wouldn't you know it - we get dumped on last night.

Hey David
The Vortech is great but a little noisy plus the magnet will rust intime so I don't want to deal with that. The trigger are pretty good with corals. They are a little clumpsy when swimming but other than that they are fine. I want some nice fish for my tank but I'm chicken with angel so I decide to go with the cross hatch. They are meesy eater but I have 2 skimmer to take care of that. Yeah it rain like Seatle over here too. I guest the rain will come to your town soon. Are you going to the Super Bowl?

this tank came along beautifully. it could be your newfound camera skill, but I swear it looks like theres already plenty of growth and new coloration on the corals :D

thanks ryan. I have been feeding the corals every night and the ultralith system start kicking in to help out with the clarity of water. All in all everything start to look good.

I was nervous when looking at the close up pictures since most people discover redbug or AEFW ......:-)so far I'm safe and I'm not planning to add any more coral unless it a must have piece.

thanks Tbone.....hmm you nick name make me feel hungry.....:-)

LOL, now YOU'RE making me hungry! It's my wife's bday today...I guess I know what we're eating tonight :D

nope. but I have customers that do. More like friends really, and they bring us good eats all the time. Elk, Venison, Bald Eagle, whatever.

 Not around here. We have them like rats, only they fly and kill everything in site. Damn things are scoping me out all the time. When you get that feeling like someone is watching you, someone is...

Just a joke BTW. I have never knowingly ate a Bald Eagle, but I hear it tastes like chicken! :eek2:
