started the sump

ok setup the sump and got the overflow goin with a power head for the return i cloged up the air intake whole and used sphon hose for the return hose its working great ive been montoring it to make sure theres no laps in flow or anything nothing wrong its working great its rated for 400 gph i figure with a 3 and half foot lift im geting rufly 350 or so but good enough for me it works if theres any concerns or coments pls post them

is it normal for small air bubles to be traped in the U tube

yes, and no. with that small of a pump, you're probably closer to 290. that's very slow. Bubbles always go through the U tube, but in your case, the flow may not be strong enough to force them through the whole thing. 1 of 2 things will happen. Eventually they'll move on along, and there's no problem or, they'll join up and be great enough to break your siphon. That's when you have trouble like I've been talking about earlier.

ok i well i woke up this moring and check it and there are no more bubbles so
