Starting a new 29 gallon tank

megatsea, I have a generic tank. I think AGA. I bought a 20" CPR HOB Fuge clone from someone on here. Works great. If your Nitrates aren't real high I wouldn't worry much about the biowheel. Just do water changes to bring it down. I used to aim for about 20ppm Nitrates when the tank was a FOWLR. It sits at 0 all the time now with the fuge. Hardly ever test Nitrates anymore.

All my water is normal:D except for ph which i am going to fix today. What should the temp be? Mine is 80 degrese. Is that ok?

That's quite a bioload to dump in a new tank:eek2: Good luck with that.......

Did you quarantine? These two threads Heeeeere aaand Especially here will give you all the info you ever wanted to know (and more) about the wunderbar world of the quarantine tank!:D

Here is my first fish:D :D :D :D :fish1: :lolspin: :celeb3:

today nemoid is doing great. He is eating fine and my banded shrimp is also eating well. I got nemoid at petco and the banded shrimp at another LFS. Nemoid is swiming all around the tank like a bolt of lightning and he twitches alot. Is the twiching normal?

Looking good so far kingsord.. I also have a 29g. 2 percs, I purple pseudochromis (dottyback), 2 cleaner shrimp and a bunch of snails and hermies. I recently added a feather duster which is really cool to look at. I also recently updgraded from 20W to 130W of PC lighting. So now I'm looking into anemones, leathers, star polyps etc. Welcome to the hobby...

I think you will be ok with bubble coral, I have had my tank 7 weeks gone through cycle and bubble coral has been added. have 2 xT5 white and one blue. I have 2 powerheads, one flowing onto the coral.. It is growing by the day.

Would I be able to get an anenome. I have a 100 watt light next to the tank and a 60 arcros the room. Would that be ok?

I don't think so. An anenome needs a well established tank and usally a lot of light. I wouldn't think about putting an anenome in a tank until the tank is at least 6 months old (preferebly older). JMO.
