Starting balling method, had some questions though....

I'm finally starting the balling light method on my tank, but I keep getting air bubbles in the lines of the dosing pumps and I wanted to see if this is normal or if Im doing something wrong. Im thinking this would throw off the amounts being dosed because it's only dosing for a few seconds and some of it is air, while some solution.

I have the tubing going into the tanks with the chemicals, and the other ends of the lines are hanging over the sump. Do the lines need to be submerged into the sump? This is the only way I can see water getting into the lines after I pumped water through them to calibrate.....

Here's a picture of the setup:

All of the ends are on all the way and seem tight. Should I maybe glue them on or something ??? Maybe zipties around all of the connections ???

Do the ends that go to the sump get submerged, or would that be bad because it would have to work against the water then ???

Are they over the small or large part of the fitting? I had to push the one from the pery pump to be over the lage part of teh fitting.

I would not glue it, mabe try a ziptie... I leave mine suspended over the air

Just did some more research and it looks like I need to get 1/8" ID tubing, not the 3/16" tubing I bought.... Figures. :lolspin:

Looks like my dosing will be on hold for a few more days now..... :rolleye1:
