Mine is setup on magnets and I love it. Works out perfectly imo.

What kind of magnets did you use?

The double cabinet ones from lowes. Two on the sides, and four on the front.

Sweet! I'm gonna work a little more on the stand tomorrow. Ideally I would've liked more room under the cabinet with the sump, but whatever. I'll make it work, I plan on having one side closed off where all my apex and electrical will be.

well i did a little more work on the stand, basically got all the structure done. all i have to do is paint the thing! i did a quick coat of primer spray paint but will hit it again maybe tomorrow. here's some progress shots. The plan was to have absolutely no doors for a sleek look and I think it turned out alright. It is held in with a channel on the bottom that the wood rests in, and a few magnets all around. I can remove all sides for sump access.

Bad day for me, go to move the tank to the new condo and it's too big for where it's suppose to go...looks like I need a smaller tank.

Well I lobbied for the place it was going with the girlfriend, all the other space is taken up, it's just a few inches too wide and a little too deep, 24in plus the extra 4" from the external overflow, I'm gonna toy with it a little more

I think the space you have would be more suited for a tank around the 60g range.

Maybe not mine, but something with a custom steel stand, and custom wood skins. Maybe a custom canopy also. Yeah that would look good.

Haha ya! There is a 50g cadlights on CL! But I'm still diligently trying to make it work, this tank is too perfect for me not to let it fall through my hands!

I would hate to see you not use this tank after I saw how happy you were when you got it and all the work your putting into it...put it in the middle of the living room like a coffee table lol jk

I know!!! I think I'm gonna be able to make it work! Finished painting the stand yesterday, all I have to do is paint the inside of the stand and clearcoat the outside
