Starting new tank need info help

im going to start a new tank....either a 40gal breeder with tek 6bulb lighting or a rimless 36x14x20(believe its 35gal) with same lighting....my question is what is the best way to setup for reef without having to drill??

i currently have a 25tall with reg. t5 lights, HOB filter and internal refugium...everything is just fine but coral growth is a bit slow for sps,lps, and softies....parameters are all ok


just want suggestion on how i should setup without having to drill for sump

Are you asking about setting up a tank without a sump? I don't have a sump on my 40 breeder, just a large HOB filter and a HOB refugium.

If you do want a sump you can use a hang on overflow box like a LifeReef - http://www.lifereef.com/siphon.html

Drilled is so much better than non-drilled. And no ugly equipment in your tank.

for a 40 breeder if youre trying to do it simply. just do a HOB Skimmer plenty of live rock and flow
