Tank is looking great my friend.

You sure you don't want some snow to help cool the tank. 😃 We are getting some every day here.

As great as Miami is there's nothing like seasons. Having said that shoveling snow may not be too much fun! Thx for the compliment on the tank. Got some really good looking rock nems arriving in the am.

Lol. I have a snow blower service for my driveway. I am too lazy to do it myself.

Looking forward to pictures of the rock nems.

That tank looks great. I am soooooooo jealous

Thx man. No need to be jealous it's a constant battle with ick with every new guy who comes in for the most part but no deaths thankfully. They come in get a few dots and get better. The ones who've had it have not shown white spot again

Great thread! I truly enjoyed the process from start to finish and commend your diligent journalism of the entire project. The tank looks amazing. Did you quarantine those fish? At the rate you were adding for a while I wondering where you kept them! Did the tank cycle? Seemed like you got quite a bit done in a short period of time. Best of luck with it, it's is stunning.

Thx :-) unfortunately let the urge to stock get the best of me. Ick took out most of the tank and was left with 13 survivors. Now up to about 30 fish and the newbies get the ick for a bit. I have begun QT in 2 55 gallon systems. From there they go into a accclimation box in the main system for a day or two. Typically once they are eating in the box I let them out into the DT. So far so good

Night time FTS. Smaller
Goldflake arrives tomorrow morning from TSM
Corals. Can't be happier with all the fish they have supplied me. All eating and strong as horses. From the blotches to the goldflake to the blk tangs! Can't wait till the next auction!

I assume the QT is for other potential illness (i.e., not ich). Since it's in the DT anyway, the fish will get it... whether they are susceptible to it is another story. Still a good idea to QT all of your new fish so good on you for that. The tank is really coming along. I can't believe how it looks.

Yes also to give them a time to relax and adapt to me. Feeding patterns and things of that nature.

You should order some gel filters. :0) Or you can try to just use a pair of blue-blocking sunglasses when taking photos... it will help with all the blue-washing we see.
