Starting zoa tank...

Hey guys I am starting my 18gallon finnex M-tank into a zoanthid tank only. The biggest thing right now is trying to decide what light I wanna use. Options being 70watt halide, 150watt halide, or a 4 bulb T5 fixture. Any input would be great. Will post pics shortly.

here is the tank with what I have so far. I am going to set it up for a small closed loop as well as run the filter built into the back.

My vote is for a 150watt mh 14k or 20k bulb.
I have 2 - 70watt mh 14k's on my 20L.
You can not beat a 14k mh bulb over zoanthids.

Well guys I decided on a HO T5 retrofit with a icecap 430 ballast. As much as I love the halides on my 65g reef, I think it would be a little overkill on my tiny tank. Plus the T5s will have just as much PAR if not more with the individual reflectors on them. More pics to post up later tonight. Got the pump and plumbing finished up, sand and rock is in the tank. Just need to build the canopy tonight and finish it all up tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I have already bought the T5 retrofit kit. The thing that concerned me with the 150watt halide is that the water depth is only 12''. So I felt that the t5's were a much better choice and will also consume less power.
