Had my interview today.
No big deal, but they are looking for a long term commitment.
When I mentioned I am a PADI Rescue Diver, the conversation changed a bit. Not sure I can set aside the amount of time they are looking for.
Shoot, My Elos is still in the garage!
But the learning opportunities could be awesome.
The building is something to see, the railing around the gator pit is the original Sea Horses from the old building, and that is about the only original part.
I could not get a look at the Coral Reef, I even offered a twenty dollar bill for a peek. :D

But what a rack of MH pendants.

As a diver they are looking for
  1. Current Open Water I dive Cert
  2. Current Rescue Diver Cert.
  3. Complete Physical in the last 2 years
  4. Chest X-ray showing no punctures
  5. Minimum of 40 Ocean dives Logged
  6. Current First Aid and CPR Cert.
  7. Documentation of current Tetanus Shot
    [/list=1]

We're going on Thursday

We're going on Thursday

Guy,

I told them some time ago we're a reef tank club. Do they still think we're divers? I thought we we're going to help with the Reef tank move.

I also believed we were going to move the Reef Tank.
The tank is being moved as we speak.
Opening Day is September 27th, I think.
If we choose to be involved, it appears it would be for maintenance and feeding type work. Starting out at 4 times a month, until we get used to the routine and procedures which are still being written.
Eventually getting to 2 times a month, they are hoping for 3 hours each time. I have a sheet explaining the dive program, and will make a few copies and bring it to the BBQ.
