I thought I would post some information I received from Sterilite regarding their line of ClearView storage containers.
I'm sure many of you knew this already.

Thank you for your inquiry about using our products to store food.
The polypropylene used in our containers meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations for all food contact excluding actual cooking applications. Our products are made of polypropylene plastic which is a food safe material. We do not use Latex. No Teflon or other stain resistant chemicals are used in our manufacturing process. After the cooling process following manufacture, nothing can "leach out" of the plastic and nothing can penetrate into the plastic.
