Steve Irwin Dead

The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin has died today from a stingray barb that punctured his chest while filming another documentary.

I am heartbroken, Irwin has done more for wildlife preservation than anyone I have heard of and he was also a really good man.

I wanted a marriage like his, with a wife like Terry. You could tell they had a wonderful loving and trusting relationship.

said it was like only the 3rd case in history of a ray puncturing someones heart like that. It amazes me how all the things he had came in contact with in his lifetime, from alligators and crocs to the most venimous snakes, frogs, and other animals... and he dies from a fluke accident with a ray, I suppose he might've let his guard down, I dont know, but I will forever appreciate the things that he has done in his lifetime. I used to watch him every weekend when I was growing up.

When I heard this, even my heart broke. Though he isn't my favorite biologist, he ranked in the top three. I still looked up to him in a certain way. You wouldn't see me jumping on the back of a crocodile (yet), but what he did for many once fearsome animals is truly priceless; now people see animals in a more scientific base and not through Hollywoods eyes. I could only hope that I can reach as many people as he did with my passion about marine aquariums and the world's reefs.
