Steve Irwin died today 'Crocodile Hunter'

Is it true?
"Steve Irwin

Internet rumors come and go in waves and Steve Irwin is not immune. He has been rumored to have died multiple times at the teeth of crocs, the fangs of spiders, and the venom of snakes. Steve, however, is alive and well in Australia, happy in his job as director of the Australia Zoo in Queensland, star of The Crocodile Hunter, and even model for his own action figure. He is the father to two children, loving husband to Terri, and owner of Sui, a Staffordshire Bullterrier mix.

The son of a naturalist, Steve was taught at an early age how to respect the creatures of the earth. At the age of nine, he was jumping into murky water to help catch a crocodile. No matter what you think of the image he projects on TV, you cannot deny his desire to help the world, including humankind. Steve and The Australia Zoo have raised funds for medical care, fought against habitat destruction worldwide, and saved countless animals from certain death.

Danger and fear are part of the job as crocodile hunter. His injured body parts include his knees, shoulder and hands, not to mention the dozens of "scratches" he obtains on a daily basis. Steve journeyed to Namibia and his hand was penetrated by a sharp piece of a poisonous tree. Gangrene set in and his hand turned black and swelled to the size of a football. It is said that he recovered well, so keep those internet rumors to a minimum."

that guy was hardcore man!! he did a lot for aussie wildlife. i always loved watching the guy. but to tell you the truth i am not shocked he died while "doing his thing". i alway figured it would have been an australian brown, or black mamba snake, or croc, that would have killed him. stingray barb to the heart! our.

well bless his family, and may he RIP.

Steve's shows were instrumental in getting my kids interested in wildlife conservation. He was a true Champion for the environment. God Bless...

Very cool guy and such a freakish way for him of all people to go out.

I was saddened to see that when I woke up. At least he was out diving, one of his favorite things..

yeah over here in australia, everyone is pretty freaked out, he almost seemed invincible. His wife was hiking in tasmania when it happened. I feel so sorry for his two children, Bindi and Bob, but i feel that they will carry on his legacy.

RIP The True Aussie Bloke

My oldest daughter is very sad .......She got to meet him once and always like to watch his shows.
