Steve's 330 gal Work Tank/475 gal system

tell me what you think of my plan:
1) finish filling (I'm running directly from my RO into the tank)
2) add salt
3) add live sand, I'm only doing about 1/2"-3/4" layer
4) then do aquascape, this is where I hit an issue, I already know I don't posses the eye/talent to do even a decent job at it, therefore how do I drill and rod or epoxy knowing full well I will have to change it... stumped on this one!

-how is yours coming, fishroom almost done?

Sounds a great plan. One thing I would change is put the rock down first then put the sand in after that. That leaves no chance of critters getting crushed or rock slides/shifts later on down the road. As far as the aquascaping goes I am in the same boat. We have a friend that has a real knack for aquascaping but he is out in sunny California until June for work. We are going to try either drill and rods or drill and black zip ties I think. I have heard the zip ties actually work out really nice.

Also with the drill method at least if you don't like the look you can always redo it and use the holes as frag plug holes if you ever do corals.

Fishroom is almost completed. Going to have it painted tomorrow. Probably going to do a garage floor epoxy on the floor. Hopefully get the electric ran one night this week and we will be set! Then its just the home stretch of setting up all the equipment and plumbing which should be a breeze compared to the fishroom build. :lmao:

ok I will get some pictures with the tank and filters this week, have 7 fish in the tank now, 2 OC clowns, imperator, PBT, Blonde Naso, neon dotty and splendid dotty
-have regal angel, gold rim tang and borbonius anthias in the QT right now

Yeah get some photos.

I like your fish choices. Hows everything been running?

Those kessils are sweet. Can't wait to see some photos with your new lights.

The only thing new with ours is that stuff is actually starting to come together should be running by the weekend.

ok I'm hiding, couple of reasons, need to tidy up the wiring on my kessils and dumb me I still can't stop sand blow on one side of my tank from my MP60, other MP60 is fine but has different rock on that side, once I get it fixed I will put pictures up, really I promise, I have the tank front with doors on and small corrian ledge/counter done now so just need to fix
