My clownfish started out two days ago with a split in the bottom "lip" and it was white. The white appearance is gone but it looks like part of the bottom "lip" and under the mouth has been eaten away. Now it is more greyish looking. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a ten gallon tank I can set up as a hospital tank but I don't have any kind of filter to put in it. I have some Maracyn I could try treating with but I don't know exactly what's wrong with it. Also, am I right that you do not add antibiotics to main tank because it will kill the beneficial bacteria?
The only other fish in the tank is my other clownfish. I got them as a tank bred pair.
