Still working on my tank.

I have been slacking with this project. I either get busy doing something else or don't have any money.

Well I finally have the time right now so hopefully I can get going. Still dirt poor but I have to get it done.

I spent a few months making the rock one at a time. Started at the bottom and worked my way up. The goal was to have it fit together like a puzzle. Once the coraline fills it in I am hoping it will look like one big flowing structure. I put lots of caves and openings in it to improve flow and give the fish something to play in. I hope do do as much tank raised livestock as possible for this tank. You will see I already have holes in the rock for the corals to get placed.

The tank is 72"x48"x25".

Hopefully I can keep this thread going with updates. Tank has been almost two years in the making and still dry.

LOOKS GOOD MAN, I DOING THE SAME , SLOWLY MY TANK IS RUNNING THO. IT WAS AN UPGRADE THATS THE ONLY REASON IS RUNNING LOL.

GOOD LUCK KEEP US POSTED

I know about taking a long time, I have had my 180 for almost 2 years now and still is dry as a bone. I am refinishing the basement as part of the project which is part of the problem. Yours looks really good and I like the rock.

Yeah I just took down the walls in the room it is going into. Hopefully before the week is out I will have that done. Then I can get to plumbing. It will only be visible on one side. I have three sheets of black acrylic to go around the tank to keep the fish room hidden.

This is an upgrade for me as well. I have all the equipment and all the other needed things for it already. I just have to do it.

The rock is ceramic. Took a lot longer than I expected to make it. It also looks way better in person. But hopefully before long you will not even see it. In my experiment tank the livestock really likes to spread across it.

That's some awesome looking rockwork you have created. Doing it slow and right the first time will only benefit you in the long run ... so don't beat yourself up for it!
