Sting Power: Anemone vs Frogspawn vs Chalice

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a no brainer question or if this has been answered before- I can't seem to find a thread that already discussed this though :P

I want to get an anemone for my tank. Currently there's only 3 sps frags and a frogspawn colony in it. I can easily remove the sps frags in case the anemone walks all over in search for a comfy home in the tank, but I can't really move the frogspawn. I wanted to know if the anemone sting will damage the frogspawn or vice versa or are they equally matched? Also, curious to know how powerful a chalice's sting is in comparison to the frogspawn and an anemone.

btw, I was interested in a rbta or gbta, if that makes a difference in determining the damage it may do to the frogspawn.

Thanks!!

From what I understand, anemones can nuke just about anything. However, just a couple days ago, my frogspawn mutilated my sun coral...........

Anemones will kill your corals, guaranteed. I wouldn't keep an anemone in my reef, they move too much.

Challices don't have a very bad sting from what I've heard.

I had a frogspawn head bail that my rbta tried to capture. The frogspawn polyp burned the rbta badly. It survived the burn but did look bad for a while. Ergo, maybe the frogspawn would win in the end.

Once the anemone gets established, I agree it would definitely hurt the frogspawn. If it's not healthy the frogspawn may win.....just my opinion.

Shucks, I wanted to get an anemone for my clowns to host in. Not willing to risk the frogspawn though >.< Does the size of the anemone matter or no?

My chalice was capable of eating/stinging anything that came near it, which was usually sps. The frogspawn hasn't touched it/fell into it yet.
