Stingray Ponds....and where my interest used to be...

These are just some of the stingrays I've hd over the last 3 years. The bigger pond is 100"across 20" deep, something like 650-750g i think. the smallest ray in th pond is about 16" without tail. the bigger ones 20-24". It looks more impressive in person and it was all DIY. The leopoldi rays, worth a fortune now, are like 10-13". the tank was 300g and was packed at points with the rarest of freshwater predators. My rays bred in captivity where I had pups that survived. i feel i did very well with freshwater and now hear I go with the reef sh*t. Thanks for looking. Any questions or comments feel free -mike

Nice pics! What do you do for nutrient control in your 'ray ponds? I've heard that they're pretty messy eaters, and since you aren't running much of a sandbed....

The ponds are self sustaining. They have massive filtration units and the rays are consistantly stirring up the bottom keeping the ponds water conditions perfect. I do weekly water changes by adding a few inches of water from the evaporation lost. it is actually very easy to manage.
