STLOUISGUY Banned?

Does anyone know if STLOUISGUY got banned? I tried to PM him but he has turned that off or has had it turned off.

I am quite disappointed that RC would discourage this type of activity. I for one would not be back in the reefing hobby if it were not for people like STLOUISGUY and several others locally that have helped me with frags for free or very little cost. I hope to return the favor as things are starting to grow out a bit and I am running out of room. BUT, I would then be considered retail and would possibly be banned as well.

You have to understand their point of view. You might not agree, but there it is.

I for one think that selling frags for less than probably half of what you'd pay at a LFS in no way makes you commercial. This hobby we have is expensive enough, and making some money back selling frags cheaply should not get you banned.

Clark has given me some help too. However that being said, they cannot have separate rules for everyone. For every Clark on here, there are probably 10 who would take advantage of RC and fellow reefers to make a buck. They look at having a dedicated "frag tank" and being a seller as making you a commercial enterprise. Makes sense if you look at it narrowly.

Someone will have Clark's number. Check the SLASH club emergency contact list. I believe his number is there....

Yeah, he's banned, for now. Banned people have that "Moved On" caption under their name. Sometime bans are just a time out, so hopefully he's just in time out for a little bit.

I completely understand. It's just a shame. I am suspicious and paranoid as well as cynical. I just smell a local retailer turning him in thinking he is damaging their business where it is actually the opposite. I spend a lot of $$ at local retail outlets because of people like STLOUISGUY.

I could be wrong,but kind of doubt a store would turn him or anyone in ?? I was banned a few years ago before I was actually commercial and let back on once it was cleared up. They keep a fairly sharp eye on selling activity and because the banners are so costly to advertise on r/c they try to protect the paying vendors and get them business. Then there is others that seem to sell stuff almost every week in the sellers forums and maybe because no frag tank they can do it ?? There is definatly some people that go around reporting people for issue's and only mods know who.
Maybe get a few beers in Nook and he can open up . JK
