STN or red bugs or what?

I have noticed over the last couple of days that my larry jackson acro has developed a dead spot on one of its branches. I personally can not see any red bugs but what I want to know is what does the devestation look like on an acro after a couple days. I dont know how this could be stn after great color and growth but anything is possible. Im trying to figure out this dilema--any help would be great. Heres a few snaps of what im dealing with right now.

I don't believe red bugs will cause that kind of damage, you may want to look for either crabs or flat worms, water parameters or flow.

im wondering if a piece of my torch broke off and stuck to that area and proceeded to kill off tissue. so its not red bugs...i dont see the circular marks of AEFW but anything is a possibility.

Steve, only you could tell us if the torch did that....

I could see it being a low flow issue though.

My Larry Jackson has been to hell and back a few times. They are really tough. Any other acro's in the tank look bad? My LJ rtn'd a couple times just to come back bigger than ever. I'd check your parameters. Make sure your alk is good and no major temp swings.

LJ was my first acro. I've tried to kill it a few times. It should come back ok if your params are ok.

yeh params are good.
460 calc
10.6 alk
1.025 sg
79-81 degrees night/day
everything else in check...

The flow idea makes more sense now.I recently put a frag infront of the flow pattern near my LJ and it could be blocking flow from reaching that area on the acro. Ive moved it and ill be hoping for the best. your right thought, LJ is a resilent coral.
