36 gallon 3' long reef tank. current inhabitant is a randalls goby, a peppermint shrimp (will be getting a cleaner soon), and a few snails.

just wondering what you guys would put in there. i have my own ideas, but it would be nice to hear from others.

Achilles tang.

Jk! Possum Wrasse or Midas Blenny as said above.
Clowns are a showstopper for anyone who doesn't know reefkeeping

Will the Midas blenny be ok with the goby? I know they occupy different areas, but I just want to make sure.

Anyone ever had a poss wrasse before? I am wondering about them also.

Oh yeah, one more thing. A royal gramma will be going in soon.

Possum wrasses are great fish. Highly recommended. Mine never stops moving. Covers every inch of the tank every hour. As opposed to my royal gramma who barely ever comes out of his cave.

Yes it will, I have mine with a Hector's Goby and they are fine together. I just got a Royal Gramma along with My Matted file fish over 10 days ago and all is well with him too. The only aggression in my tank is occasionally my Cherub Angel chases my McCoskers wrasse, and every once in a while bows up at my Mocha clowns. Cherub Angel is the "terrorist" of my tank LOL but only to those two fish.

thanks guys. i will add them in this order: pygmy wrasse, royal gramma, midas blenny. very interesting mix of fish.

I really like that pygmy wrasse, if I wouldn't have an aiptasia problem and got the Matted File fish I was going to get one. Oh well, yes interesting group for sure and not something that EVERYONE ELSE has :D

I have a yellow banded possum and a whitespotted pygmy filefish, and they sometimes hang out together and do this weird body bend movement, almost like they're dancing. I think the filefish has a crush on the wrasse. Both very cool, very unique fish.

went to the lfs today, and i noticed a small yellow banded pygmy wrasse. he is now in QT. will try to get a pic as soon as possible, once the lights turn on.

That's awesome! Can't wait to see the pictures of it.

My Hector's goby went AWOL and can't find anything from it, just gone. It was very healthy and nobody in the tank was aggressive towards it. Just one day it didn't come out of his cave under a big rock. :( I've had him about a year.It was full grown when I got it so no telling how old it was. All I know is it was very healthy and loved to eat NLS pellets more than anything.

So I'm thinking of adding one of the pygmy wrasses.

I know it's a little cliche, but I still have a thing for clownfish and their precious anemone's (the ones I've had were very obsessed and protective over their anemone). Royal grammas are also a cool looking fish.

Well, here he is. Within hours of me putting him in the tank, he ate mysis.

Another picture. Sorry about the pictures being sideways. Reefcentral does not like my phone.

Turn the top of your phone to the left when taking pictures with a phone. The orientation will be correct on PC's and phones as well.

Love the fish!
