Stocking 55G

Presently I have a yellow damselfish and a tomato clown in my 55g..

Trying to put together a livestock list of future purchases.

I know that damselfish can be aggressive, so I'm kind of nervous as to what other fish I could get. Right now I do not have any coral.. FOWLR for now, but I plan on adding a bunch after I pass the 6 month old mark.

Any good thoughts or suggestions?

Flame Hawkfish
Goby + shrimp
Another small Tomato clown (much cooler in pairs)
Bicolor blenny
Centropyge angel (not so good if your adding corals though)

I have a Tomini Tang, great fish, also consider wrasses and possibly a barttlets anthia.

Some anglefish do stay small, I think a copper banded butterfly is rated for 55 gallon.

Umm, you cold also do a spotted mandarin.

Mandarin is high on the list, but I don't have a fuge presently.

Looking into making a HOB and establishing some copes first.. Perhaps in 6 months.

I love the mandarin!

I would carefully re-consider all the tang recommendations. Ok in the short term (if you get a juvi) but no good when they grow.
I really don't know why people recommend tangs for a 55g when there are soooo many awesome fish which are way more suitable for that size tank.

My stock list: Vanu. Mystery Wrasse, Vanu. Starki Damsel, Blue Streak Cleaner Wrasse (3yr), Geo. Pyg. Hawk (P. Inermis), Flame Hawk, Pseudo. Elongatus
