Stocking a 105

I just wanted some opinions on what I should put in my new 105 rimless tanks. All fish must be reef safe. I would like to have a small tang if possible.

You are limited to the tangs you can keep in that size tank. Make sure to do your research before buying one.

I would suggest wrasses. Most wrasses are reef safe (there are some that are not) and they are smaller fish, so less of a bio-load. They also have amazing color diversity and varying temperaments.

Liveaquaria is always a good place to do some research on fish, they will give you the information you need to make good choices. Sometimes their tank size recommendations are a bit on the conservative side, but most other places will give you nothing close to the right size for tanks, so I usually err on the side of caution with Liveaquaria's recommendations.

I have a 100 gallon tank and it's most definitely way to small for any tang. I would strongly recommend to scratch that off your list.
Also, what is your definition of reef safe?

The tank is 48l x 24w. I was thinking a small tang would be ok in there, I also know some people who have 3 tangs in a tank the same size but I think that's to much.

Here's what I have in my 105 (48x24x21) for reference:

Mated pair of Ocellaris Clownfish
Firefish
Pair of Royal Grammas
Tailspot Blenny
One-spot Foxface
Blue Reef Chromis
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
Blue Flasher Wrasse
Kole Tang

I'm pretty much fully stocked at this point, but may add another small fish (likely a Fairy Wrasse). Reef Central's tank size recommendations for tangs can be found here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946079

peaceful fish that stay relatively small. more options:

orchid dottyback(fridmani)
2-3 leopard wrasses
aurora goby
bangaii
purple firefish

That's not a bad list, how is the kole tang doing in there?

I have no problems with him. He loves to chase the blenny from time to time, but the blenny couldn't care less. The tang cruises around the tank with the foxface and the chromis (go figure). I'm sure it helps that I have lots of film algae for him to graze on.
