Stocking Advice Help

I need some help with adding inverts. My tank has just finished cycling so I am going to wait another week or two before adding anything to be safe. I want to add inverts i.e crabs, shrimp, snails, etc. My fav crab is the arrow crab and I have heard they are bad because they eat worms and things that I need. I also wanted to add a coral banded shrimp but heard those are bad as well. Any advice on whether or not to add them would be appreciated.

I may be mistaken but didn't you ask this a few weeks ago? Perhaps it was someone else,. Both of these creatures will decimate your polychate populations which you need to help keep your tank clean. Additionaly arrow crabs can be aggressive toward othe animals in your tank. Your choice though. Good Luck

Both of those animals aren't easy on your infauna. There are a lot of alternate beasties that you could go with. Look into the smaller Lysmata shrimp (many don't like to be housed with more than one of their kind, so research) and "reef safe" mithrax or micro-hermits if you simply must have a crab. Better yet, get some Turbo snails.

If you have a big tank and get it established, you can add your listed favorites down the road.

YouReally need to add more info in your profile.Things like tank size, lighting,Substrate and amount of LR , reef or FOWLR , equipment and ageof the tank and water source. These would help narrow down the response as adding CUC in the right portions can really help in your attemt of total control of your system.
