Hey guys. I am getting ready to set up my first reef tank and I think i'm pretty set on this stock list. My tank will be 120 gallons (not sure exact dimensions) and will have plenty of corals and inverts. Heres the fish I intend to keep:

(1) Purple Tang
(1) Whitecheek Tang
(1) Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish
(1) Schooling Bannerfish
(2) Ocellaris Clownfish [1 normal, 1 black and white]
(1) Flame Anglefish
(5) Bartlett's Anthias [1 male, 4 female]
(1) Whip Fin Fairy Wrasse
(1) Scott's Fairy Wrasse [Australia]
(1) Purple Dottyback

That is a total of 15 fish. Do you think this is a good amount for my size tank and that all the fish will get along together? According to Live Aquaria, all these fish require a minimum tank size of 125 gallons or less and all are reef safe; other than the flame angle and butterflyfish which are listed "with caution". Also what corals will the Flame Anglefish and Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish pick at? Because I heard they can sometimes pick at the corals. The corals I want are some mushrooms, soft corals, and maybe a couple SPS and LPS hard corals, and I don't want the fish picking at them. And lastly, does anyone know of what inverts would do a good job of helping keep the tank clean and how many of each? Thanks.

I would go with only one of those tangs, or better yet pick one that's 120 gallons compatible. I'm guessing LA expects a 125 to be 6 feet long, and those tangs would do better in a longer tank. Between the Golden Butterfly and the Angelfish you have just about every coral getting nipped, I'd remove both of them. Also the Purple Dottyback is very aggressive, I'd remove him as well or possibly add last.

any updates on your tank? pics?
I agree with the guy above me, tangs generally do well in odd numbers.

Agreed on the butterfly, it's a shortmouth variety and may nip at or downright eat corals. I don't have experience with angels. There are a few butterflies that can work but I'd rate that as expert level so I'd suggest you hold off on them for now.
