Stocking List for our 45g - Thoughts? Any concerns/conflicts?

Figured I'd run my stocking list by everyone. 45g tank w/ 10-15g sump, Reef Octopus BH-1000 Skimmer.

If you see any conflicts please let me know. There have been no issues with my chromis and 2 clowns. The Blenny and Wrasse in QT are getting along great and stick together. Was hoping to bond a watchman goby and pistol shrimp. Current stock....

- 10 Hermits
- 6 Astrea Snails
- 1 Blood Shrimp
- 1 Cleaner Shrimp
- 1 Coral Banded Shrimp

- 1 Blue Reed Chromis
- 2 Clowns (Bonded)
- Midas Blenny (Currently in QT)
- Red Fin Fairy Wrasse (Currently in QT)

Thinking about adding...

- Yellow Watchman Goby
- Tiger Pistol Shrimp

At this point would I be able to add anymore fish? Or would I be pushing it at this point? If I could add more fish it would be one of the following...

- Purple Firefish
- Blue Spot Jawfish
- Royal Gramma
- Blue Mandarin Goby

Blue Spot Jawfish need higher gravel (4in min) and a mix of coarse, medium and fine with ideally some buried rocks. The gravel should be at least as high as the fish are long. If it's less be prepared for some serious ground movement - the jawfish will move gravel to get the height he wants.
They also need a covered tank as they may try to move (looking for better places or a mate). When they get the wanderlust they will also try to jump over barriers (=Glass panels of the tank).
I would also not combine jawfish with Tiger pistol shrimp.
BTW: pistol shrimp also prefer rather a mixed sized gravel to be able to build their burrows.

Thanks for the reply. Jawfish is probably last on my list currently. Maybe I'll just skip it.

My list in order of preference is probably

- Purple Firefish
- Royal Gramma
- Blue Mandarin Goby
- Blue Spot Jawfish

You could probably fit in the firefish, gramma and goby. The goby will stay in the sandbed, and the gramma and firefish are small. as long as you have a decent sized skimmer, you should be good.

the blue mandarin goby will not work in a tank that size due to their difficult diet

1. Mandarins are not gobies, not even close.

2. It can work in a tank that size, or even smaller. I had a pair for a year in a 25 gallon cube and I added them 2 weeks after setting the tank up. But that tank was set up with a good load of real live rock and additionally seeded with a few bottles of pods.
Those mandarins are still doing great and are now in my 100 gallon tank.

But the pictured tank is too sterile for mandarins.

Grammas will be fine, if you start with small to tiny ones you could try 3 or more. In a group they are much more interesting. I had 3 for 6 months in a 10 gallon QT and it worked. Now they are also in my 100 gallon and spawning.

The firefish is like the jawfish a notorious jumper that requires the tank to be well covered.

Tiger shrimp and YWG are fine as long as you add some larger gravel.
