stocking list

what do you guys think of this list to stock my 2.5 pico? I have lots of caves in my LR and a filter running on it.
LR
Live sand
mushrooms
whiteball corallimorphs
nassarius snail
1 small clown goby
1 peppermint shrimp
blue leg hermit crab
cerith snail
other?

I could try 2 sexies if the pep shriimp will be a problem.

You could put a peppermint in there but the sexy shrimp are much cooler little guys. I kept a trio of sexy shrimp in my 2.5 gallon years ago.

i am always a fan of a black and white barred convict goby.. maybe a zoo to add another facet?

I'm staying away from zoos because most of the inverts small enough for my tank think that zoos are a fantastic snack. kinda an exspensive buffet...
I'll look into convict gobies too.

Are convict go ies the same thing as an engineer goby? those need at least 20gallons, so that would be a definate no-no.

nope.. only require 10 gallons (per LiveAquaria) though one would do fine in your setup just the same as a clown goby would. just offer a more unique touch (imo)..

Oh! I see now! those are very nice. I was looking for a tad more color though.although, if I could fill the tank with coral to create a bright background, this fish would be stunning with that contrast and its unique looks. but... I'm probably just gonna stick with the clown. I just really need a bright centerpiece, ya know? I will definitely keep this in mind though when I go fish shopping because it is cool!

Honestly, I wouldn't keep any fish in a tank that small. I would stick with sexy shrimp.

I read somewhere taht hermits will eat your snails to get their shells....

i think that is more of an issue with bigger hermit crabs. i don't think my tiny dwarves could pull that off, they're under half an inch. i'll choose snails that are allready an inch or so though, so this won't be an issue!

those are pretty, but rather pricey. not too bad for a reef fish, but more than i wanna spend on my pico
here's an updated list, it keeps changing because of new LR hitchhickers!

again this all depends on day-day availability and local price, but that's my base list!

that's all! the list sounds longer than it really is because most people don't include hitchhickers(hh) and cleanup crew(cuc) in their stocking list. the *stuff are what you would call the main attractions i guess.

I picked up some critters today! they don't sell sexies or cerith snails so here's what i've got now:
1 dwarf blue leg hermit
1 nassarius snail
1 micro brittle
1 peppermint shrimp
1 emerald crab
mushrooms
galaxia frag
hitchickers.
any naming suggestions for shrimp, crab, and snail?
i'm still waiting on that goby!
what do ya think?
