stocking new tank

i just got a 29gallon and 20gallon tall tanks at lawn sales yesterday now i want to get fish in them. i would like to do a few carnivore fish in the 29 as a fowlr tank. any suggestions?

An angler might be good, or a valentini puffer but that might be pushing it size wise. If predatory is what your looking for a mantis shrimp might be cool

For the 29:

A Dendrochirus sp. lionfish, such as:

D. brachypterus

D. barberi

D. biocellatus

waspfish:

Ablabys taenianotus

Paracentropogon rubripinnis

There are also some smaller species of scorps that would do fine in a properly-scaped 29:

Scorpaenodes littoralis

S. caribbaeus

A smaller species angler such as a wartskin (Antennarius maculatus) would be a good species-only option. Be sure the fish is properly-ID'd so you don't send up with a pictus or Commerson's, as they often closely resemble each other as juvies.
