What should I put in my...

10g? I would like atleast one fish and a few inverts
or in a
5g? I am thinking of a clown goby and maybe an invert OR a small mantis and no goby and few feeder 'verts.

Please give me suggestions on stock. I am a beginner so I dont want anything too extremely challenging.

A 5g is pretty tiny. I don't think I'd add any fish to it.

The 10g might be okay for a neon goby or two.

For a 5 gallon, All I would put in there would be a small gobie. For a 10 gallon, percula clownfish, gobies, damsels, and ect would be good. For fish for a 10 gallon tank look here for some more ideas:

I like the small mantis idea. Have you seen the 2.5G surge with the mantis? That tank is awesome! I am thinking of building one for my living room.

Green clown gobies don't get very big. He might be fine in a 5 gallon tank. What are you using for filteration. I would just set up a 10 gallon tank or larger if I was you. The larger the tank, the more margen for error. ( or something like that. :D )

Sounds good but I would spend a few bucks more and get a 10 gallon tank. well, at the lfs in town, the 10 gallon tanks are cheaper then the 5.5 gallon tanks.

for your size aquariums-----

5 gal - mayby a crab and a few hermits would look really good

10 gal - black clownfish (1) or maby some gobys or firefish.

NO SHARKS LOL :)

lol. Yeah I really like black clowns..they are pretty darn cute. But I will have to decide when I get to the point where I start a saltie. I may ask if I can turn a school aquarium in my science class into one since I dont have space. She has 2 20gs and 1 10g.
